methylethyldeth@gmail.com BioFool that I am, I’m going to graduate school. I have a rather diverse set of interests that stage epic battles in my head from time to time. They can give me some nasty headaches – worse than the ones I endured during such classes as Statistical Mechanics and Transport Phenomena That No One In Their Right Mind Will Ever Use Unless They Are In The Brady Group Which Begs Me To Question Their Sanity In the First Place.
If you’re reading this, you’ve probably stumbled across my Harry Potter fanfic of doom. I’ll post links to updates (however infrequent those come) and random funny things, dubbed insanity by yours truly, which some of you may enjoy. Others may want to claw their eyes out after reading, but well, I won’t worry about them. Random bits of chemistry, engineering, and general nonsense may also occur.
I will gleefully admit to you my unhealthy fascination with dark and evil wizards. Be forewarned that Voldemort tends to make his presence known fairly often. He lives in a little corner of my head. Arcana lives in another. They don’t get along very well.

Methyl's Harry Potter Fanfic
This story takes place on the Dark fringe of the HP-verse. It is set after OoTP (which is when I started writing it *cringes*), so expect it to more or less follow canon up to that point. I'm using some things from HBP and DH, but don't expect the plot to follow the last two canon books. There are lots of original elements and characters, but hopefully it flows from canon well enough that it can be enjoyed. My author page at ff.net includes more details about the whys and wherefores of my monstrosity.
I'm currently posting on ff.net and Schnoogle. The first installment of my trilogy-ish work (A Pale Shade of Night) is complete. The second installment is nearly, almost, soon, very close *coughs* to being posted. Keep checking Methyl's blog for Illusions of Choice, which will appear as soon as the beta gets the final corrections to chapter one back to me.
